ABOUT US
Paralysis produces intimate immersive horror experiences designed to challenge guests with intense thematic, psychological, and sometimes physical content. These cinematic stories will explore the darkest parts of the human experience- the fears and anxieties that cause us to freeze in place and prevent us from taking even one more step. Will you press on through the darkness? Or will you remain trapped in a state of paralysis?”
All Paralysis experiences are restricted to guests aged 21 and over.
“The ‘extreme’ aspects of the performance were never the point to begin with; the story that I was living out in that troubled home, was. Those exclamation points on the narrative allowed me the opportunity to feel — not pretend to feel — what was happening, and those moments continue to repeat in my mind with insane vividness”
DAVID HIGGINS
Writer & Creative Director
David has been writing stories his entire life, and after discovering immersive horror in 2018, he knew he had finally found the medium for sharing his stories with others. David aims to tell stories with real, emotional impact drawing from the thoughts and ideas that scare him most. When he isn’t working on the next Paralysis project, you will probably find him traveling the country to attend as many immersive experiences as he can.
QUINN LEARY
Theater Director
Quinn is a recent entry into the immersive horror space, with his first formal contact with the work being early 2020, however he has been a theatre maker for almost two decades. He received a BA in Theatre from Butler University, during the course of which he devised, directed, and acted in a variety of productions before moving to Chicago to continue developing his craft. His experience with the burgeoning immersive scene and Chicago’s talented creators ignited his passion for the profound intimacy of the medium. Quinn seeks to create personalized experiences that challenge participants to face themselves holistically, even when the shadows therein urge them to look away.
Sam Delacruz
Producer
Sam first stepped into the immersive horror world in 2018, and has had both feet firmly planted there ever since. After attending a wide variety of experiences as a participant, she gradually moved behind the scenes into acting and production roles. Sam believes that continuing to attend shows as a guest makes her a more effective and empathetic creator, and is passionate about contributing to an impactful future for the extreme immersive horror genre.
In addition to Sam’s work with Paralysis as Producer, she is also proud to have been a cast member in selected Miasma productions.
